Production Office

The Iowa State Penitentiary graciously allowed me to set up shop in the basement at one of the two Department of Corrections houses across the street from the penitentiary. One of the rooms was carpeted and it was a perfect place to set up a small production office.

I activated a telephone line in the basement in order to have high-speed internet service. I wrote my grant proposals, edited my sample reel, and worked on the Prison Terminal web site from this basement production office.

Sleeping Quarters

Across the hall from the production office I set up my bedroom, along with a small card table for eating my meals. I used a small toaster oven to make my toast in the morning and a hot water kettle to boil water for coffee and tea. The room was windowless so it was great for sleeping.

The upstairs living quarters was shared by Dr. Jones, Dr. Sarswat, and Dr. Joshua Nanji all of whom worked across the street at the Iowa State Penitentiary.
